At first I was really put off but once I had time to think through my annoyance I realized that I could share and showcase my roots & culture through my creative work. When photographer Tatiana Luna reached out & shared the location,I knew exactly where I wanted to go with this story. Aztecs, Mayas & Incas were thriving civilizations before colonizers invaded lands & cultures, and killed off indigenous populations. The thick brick walls invoked ancient temples & pyramids for me. I imagined a galactic futuristic multicultural Latin princess Goddess.
