he was my best friend. 💔 our beloved Charlie passed away. he lived an incredible 17 years and 9 months — alive before the iPhone existed and before John Kerry lost. he made friends with everyone, and he did so many things that cats aren't supposed to do. he always came running down the stairs to welcome us home from work. he learned to talk with us to communicate so many things. and he even understood how Facetime worked (and spent many hours staring at me on a screen whenever i was out of town, like in the 4th picture). we planned a special last day for him and did all his favorite things. i brought all his toy friends together so they could say goodbye to him. we sat with him on the floor with his favorite blanket, and played him his favorite song (which incredibly is the theme from Peter and the Wolf). and then he was off on his adventure into the unknown. we miss him terribly and are devastated by his passing. the world will never see another kitty like him. he who was our companion, through adventure and hardship, is gone forever.
