Slavic Roots. 🌙✹ This post is special to me and I have delayed the publication of this series of photos for a long time. I decided that the harvest time is the perfect moment, especially since the whole cycle begins with Lady Midday. A year ago I started working on my bachelor's project called "Realization of the author's series of digital photographs inspired by Slavic mythology". As you can see, the whole project lasted a year. It was a unique feeling, because the faith of the Slavs, as well as mine, is based on the wheel of the year. A time of harvest, love, growth, vegetation, preparation for winter, reflection, expectations. It was an interesting experience to feel it in such a precise way, to expect this time for so many months... It was pure pleasure for me! For me, the project was also related to an important and interesting topic of femininity and the cult of women in the past. While writing this chapter, I learned a lot of interesting things... maybe someday I will use this knowledge for a new project! That is why the characters selected by me in this series of photographs are only women (except for poor Robert, who was lost in the embrace of Rusalka.đŸ€) Many thanks also to my one and only, beloved @madzianavia, who was with me during this time and played in so many great roles. Magda, you are the best! Thank you. đŸ–€ The photos show in turn: 1. PoƂudnica / Lady Midday 2. Zmora / Mara 3. Marzanna / Morana 4. RusaƂka / Rusalka 5.
