Pretty sure my love for Jjajangmyeon started when I watched Wok of Love. I dare say it's the drama where I most learnt about Korean cuisine - ironic right? 😂 Had a sharp craving for Korean food last night when I started watching Single's Inferno, so that was today's lunch adventure. Saw this place on IG a couple of weeks back and finally decided to visit, located in Hartamas. Verdict: 🍝 짜장면 Jjajangmyeon; Noodles with Black Bean sauce; RM22 (R) | 9/10; Really tasty and wholesome dish, but gets a bit jelak after a while, especially when it becomes cold. 🍜 고기짬뽕 Pork Jjamppong; Noodles and pork in a spicy soup; RM27 (R) | 7/10; Noodles were a bit too thick for my liking, becomes very filling very fast, but there was a lot of meat. 🐷 탕수육 Tangsuyuk; Sweet & sour fried pork; RM48 (R) | 9/10; Amazing batter, amazing sauce. And pork, duh. A bit pricey since it's a sharing dish, worth it if you're going in a bigger group. 🥒 반찬 Banchan; Side dishes | 6.5/10; Radish, pickled cucumber and onion. Pretty standard lah 🧃 봉봉 Grape Bong-bong; RM7 | 6/10; Ordered it just cause I wanted something sweet. Comes with literal grape chunks in the can. To note: ⚠️ Portions are huge for 2 people, even the regular servings. There's 짬짜면 Jjamjja on the menu, which is half Jjajangmyeon and half Jjamppong - will try that next time. ⚠️ Banchan and water are complimentary & refillable ⚠️ Staff are super friendly, space is big to accommodate small & big groups of diners.
