I need to address something... I have received a couple of comments telling me to not “get political” with my page and I am just confused because I don’t post anything political???? My mission is (and has always been) to engender a sense of pride in our amazing city. It’s the whole reason I started making Miami Mondays. Community engagement is a HUGE part in actively loving your city and my mission is to create a community of Miami people who TRULY care more than just the vanity metrics. I’ve been getting more involved with citizen-led committees, attending city hall meetings, and trying to bring the most up-to-date information on what’s currently going on. If you find community engagement polarizing... I really don’t even know what to say?? It’s OUR responsibility to make sure Miami moves forward in the best way possible and we cannot become complacent with the way things work. I know most of you appreciate the information so don’t worry I will continue and I plan on increasing the exposure. I mostly broadcast this type of info on my stories but I will be working to make infographics and informational videos as well.
