__ HOME for the New York Times out today. A true honor to be commissioned to make photographs about a place that represents more to me than anywhere else in the world. Wellfleet, MA a small town on the outer tip of Cape Cod, where 65% of the land is protected by national park and has been a place for decades that has drawn artists, writers and others to make work. Not to mention an incredible community of hard working and amazing local people. This place has torn me up, humbled me, kicked me down, stood me back up, supported as well has taught me so many important things in the rarest of ways. This specific piece was written by Penelope Green about the mid century architecture and the large sense of solitude. Peter McMahon (pictured here) is founder of the Cape Cod Modern House Trust which essentially saved several very unique houses being condemned. The Hatch house specifically here is perhaps the most famous and special one. Throughout the multi day approach I tried to connect to the specific environments and feelings that have had the largest impacts on me throughout my life here. From the first place my child put her toes into ocean to the dune my father always loved to walk. Thank you Christy Harmon for this wonderful opportunity.
