Project : @therossettihouse ~ The restoration of a Grade II listed timber building dating back to 1640 positioned at the heart of Hastings Old Town conservation area. Once a lodgings house where the pre-Raphaelite painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti & Elizabeth Sidal stayed when visiting Hastings. Pairing back and lightening up the building to reveal layers of history, whilst being honest towards the old structure. Using colour, material & finish (CMF) to lighten the spaces and allow the rooms to breath with light and air.
