Body Vessel Clay:Black Women Ceramics and Contemporary Art 🔥 Jareh, or Dr.Jareh Das has been the mastermind curator, researcher, advocate, fan and galvanizer of this show that was nearly 10 years in the making. It's seed is the work of Nigerian potter Ladi Kwali, and it is beyond an honor to be showing work within the context of her legacy, as well as her contemparies including Halima Audu and the incredible Magdalene Odundo who was one of her students. These artists have been a great ceramic influence on my work and a source of admiration for so many. I feel like a student of this exhibition in many more ways than a particpant in it.
