Henri-Georges Clouzot's L'Enfer (1964) Once upon a time an American studio gave a french filmmaker an unlimited budget. Unfortunately we will never get to see the finished film. Clouzot suffered a heart attack while filming, he survived but the production fell apart shortly after. What is left are these test shots of actress Romy Schneider. Imagine how lighting could have changed had the picture been released.
