DEADLIFT GRIP TIP 💪
Alternate between deadlift grip techniques to minimize the risk of injury. Try these four: Double Overhand Grip, Mixed Grip, Snatch Grip, Hooked Grip
Double Overhand: A common deadlift style where both hands are gripping the bar face down. Recommended for newer lifters to help improve grip strength, uses more forearm activation.
Mixed Grip: Grip the bar with one palm facing up(supinated), and the other one facing away from you (pronated). A safe option to prevent the bar from rolling out of your hands & a safe way to increase rep count.
Snatch Grip: Beloved in the CrossFit community, this wide grip requires the lifter to bend over more than a conventional deadlift, resulting in greater glute and hamstring activation
Hooked Grip: Wrap four fingers (index to pinky) over the barbell in an overhand grip position then trap your thumb under your index and middle finger. This grip allows for less slippage compared to the overhand.
