💛💚 @noregrets4lifejustlove Recreate - Blacklight Edition💚💛 Check out my closeups post for a little "about me" section. I thought I'd post one seeing as it's the new year. Yesterday's post was dedicated to Dani, where I recreated my favorite look of hers. Since I used @Unicornsnot 's Daypaint palette, I was curious to see how it looked in the blacklight. Well, when I discovered the wig glowed too, I took advantage of the opportunity to practice capturing some UV goodness- and test out my makeshift trippy background I made from a holo tablecloth and curtain lights. I thought they were good enough to post, so here they are- my first set of blacklight shots in my new studio space. I have a Canon EOS M50 and the EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM lens, but honestly my indoor lighting was always pretty crummy and I never liked how the shots came out. With a new space, it's my goal this year to use this dang camera more. So, I thought to take it out for this look for some R&D. The first 4 shots are from my phone. They're super bright and gummy-candy feeling, but still very hard to capture clarity. I think the wig glow helped honestly, but still much of the shots weren't really useable. This has definitely been something I struggled with in the beginning with blacklight looks. The last, more darker pics of the set are the ones I took with the Canon. I fiddled with the ISO to see how deep I could get the shots and dang are they crisp. They even picked up the @solbody shimmer powder.
