If you are new here, I'm Magi - equally passionate as a photographer and a practicing attorney for artists and creatives. I always dreamt of finding a balance of "doing both" and never knew how the pieces would fit together. I now find so much joy now in the blend of my two crafts and career paths. As a photographer, I love creating beautiful work that evokes feelings of real moments caught in time, that feel both laidback and refined. And as an attorney, I love supporting others in rooting into professionalism and clarity in a component of business that is both necessary yet often overwhelming. I began my entrepreneurial journey at a young age - I firsthand know how important and hard it is to find resources specific to the needs of those in niche career paths. Since opening my own legal practice a few years ago, I've had the privilege of working with all kinds of incredible self-starters from professional athletes to interior designers, graphic designers to influencers, top wedding industry vendors, and more. My online resource shop, @theartistlawyer, was my “aha” moment of creating an easily-accessible and fine-tuned resource for all kinds of entrepreneurs and creatives. In my day-to-day life, I am constantly working with my legal team to add new tools and templates to @theartistlawyer, and we share tons of tips and inspiration through our newsletter. Other days, I am working with our collective of photographers @magdalenastudios while my husband runs @thatradbooth, and here and there I’ll take on 1-1 coaching clients and a very limited number of legal clients @eastandbaylaw. Scott and I are thrilled to be photographing a very select number of luxury weddings and events this upcoming year together.
