I’m a big believer in pre-production. It is honestly one of my favourite parts too, as I love doing research on certain concept/theme plus making a mood board, face charts, experiment with colors and textures, doing multiple trials on myself and - most importantly- confirming it with the rest of the team PRIOR to the shoot. And from my experience - the more prepared you are for the gig, the better the outcome. This doesn’t mean you can’t improvise on set, but having a good plan at least to start with is crucial. This shoot has brought me so much joy at both getting ready for and actually executing it on the day of. I’m so grateful to meet and work with such an amazing photographer and artist @brendanasr who gave me complete freedom to do any makeup looks I want, so I went a little wild and couldn’t be happier with the outcome!
