definitely my pretty (grown woman) era ♥️ The older I get, the more I appreciate my body and how it evolves. I’m more defined, stronger, thicker, BIGGER than before. When I was way smaller in size (college days), I also had less love for myself. I was intentionally not eating enough, worked out to punish myself for not being naturally thin, and was ashamed of every inch of me. I allowed people who said they loved me to talk down on the way my body looked and I rarely advocated for myself. The physical changes I see in my body show the mental growth I went through transitioning from a hurt embarrassed little girl to a healing proud grown woman. After a lifetime of thinking small of myself because society/others told me I wasn’t good enough, taking up space is so liberating. I pray that any woman who has ever felt like they weren’t worthy unless they became the smallest version of themselves can be released from that ideology.
