I spent most of my life trying to fit into boxes other people built for me. I destroyed my mental health trying to please everyone else with little concern for my own happiness. When I finally left everything behind and decided to make my own path, I started noticing how severely these people-pleasing behaviors had been affecting me. I finally realized what the hell does it matter if everyone else likes me, if I don’t like me? Living authentically will be a forever journey but things definitely got easier after I decided to live my life for me, not everyone else. ❤️
