When animals arrive at Taronga Wildlife Hospital, it can be a bit of a guessing game for our veterinary staff as they attempt to diagnose what is wrong with the patient. This stunning Tawny Frogmouth was found sitting on a fence in Sydney’s Seaforth. It was unresponsive when approached and generally seemed quite unwell. When it arrived at Taronga Wildlife Hospital our staff noticed it was very thin and it was unable to sit balanced on a perch. The tawny was given fluids and supportive care and perked up within a few weeks! After three weeks at the hospital, it could be released back to the wild. #forthewild
