Yesterday I had the honor of walking in and closing in (!!!) @selkie ‘s NYFW show🥹 gosh there are so many feelings and words I have coming up!!! This was one of the most beautiful, ethereal, and dreamy shows of my life!!!! My inner child is just screaming with joy. If she was able to peek into the future from her little pop up play pretend fashion show tent.. oh she would be soaring through the sky!!! I mean I am... and to make it even better (I know little me is sighing with relief) I did this in my body. I know I don’t touch often on that subject but I mean cmon!!! It’s 2022 and we’re still sooo behind on the inclusion. Selkie gave me an experience that, much like in the last unicorn, restored the magic in my own vision and the faith I need to keep expressing my true self. I have faith in those pushing for full inclusion in this world. I do!🦄 At times it may feel like 1 step forward 2 steps back, but having faith in our dreams is really what will carry us up that hill. The more each of us dream things together the more we change the world. @wedreamoficecream watching you from the beginning with Selkie has been so inspiring. I really am so grateful to be a witness to your expansion. Selkie was one of my first photo shoots I got when I was 18 just starting out and I was one of your first models for the brand! Seeing how far you have come while also just having a baby!! 😮😮😮 You show me what it is to believe in yourself and that it’s possible to bring your dreams into fruition. Truly a magical being you are, Kim. Thank you for sharing this experience with me and with the world.
