It's located in a charming two-story cottage, tucked away on one of the best and leafiest streets in the area. It is accessed by a private entrance, past a garden behind the street-front property where my landlord lives. The first floor of the house opens into the tin-ceiling'ed kitchen and the living room. The bathroom (with shower) is also located downstairs. A short walk upstairs, past a sunny skylight, are the two bedrooms. Yours is the larger one (8' 5" x 14') and has a north-facing window, a hall closet and a ceiling fan. The room comes furnished with a full-sized bed with box spring and frame, AC unit, desk, dresser and bedside table. A peach tree grows outside your window. Hardwood floors throughout. Bike storage is available, a 24-hour laundromat is down the street and three grocery stores, tons of great coffee shops and restaurants are less than five minutes away in a very walk-able neighborhood. There is a Citibike dock on the block, McCarren Park is a 10 minute walk down the street, the J, M, Z train and Williamsburg Bridge are about a 15 minute walk away and Domino Park and the Williamsburg waterfront are about 20 mins away. Asking $1500 plus utilities, open to short term arrangements or longer term sublets.
