We like to take pause on the solstice, the shortest day of the year, to remember that it's only cold, dark and wet to our perspective. Our cover crops are taking off, forming new michorrizal interactions, fixing carbon and nitrogen into the soils. Same for our pomace compost, alive and steaming, getting ready for next year's spin around the sun.
