❤️Hey folks, my family and I have decided that it’s time for me to leave my OTHER family, Fitz and The Tantrums, and life on the road to be at home and begin a new chapter in our lives. This will be my last month with this amazing group of people I’ve shared the majority of the last 14 years with. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think my career in music would bring me into a band that has had the crazy success that we’ve had. We are the band that seems to have more lives than a cat due in no small part to the talent, drive and commitment of Fitz, Noelle, James, Joe and Jeremy. This band and the team of managers, booking agents, lawyer, our tour manager and the entire crew behind it has provided myself and my family such an amazing quality of life. There has been more surreal moments than I can count or mention here. ❤️But it’s time for me to be a dad that is at home and to pursue different artistic goals both of which require my full attention and energy. My twin daughters aren’t getting any younger and in the blink of an eye they will have flown the coop. And while I have no regrets, I don’t want to miss out on any more of their major landmark moments. My wife Jenna has literally been “Superwoman” for 14 years, essentially raising the two of them as a single mom while simultaneously running two cafes/bakeries and a coffee roasting operation. Not to mention 3 dogs, two cats and maintaining the house and acreage we live in. I’ve been offered an amazing opportunity to teach at The University of Montana which I’ve just begun. I absolutely love it. We have big plans for the music dept. there so stay tuned and watch us grow. Musically, I’m ready to try and push my abilities and create music that is challenging to me and to the audience. The pandemic hit the pause button for me and during that couple of years I became reacquainted with what I enjoy most about music which is the process of learning, improving and creating. Which is a lot easier to do when you’re in one place for a while. There’s some crazy musical opportunities coming up and I will keep you all in the loop. Thank you all for your support and love.
