What being single at a wedding taught me 🤍 It’s easy to feel sorry for yourself when you’re at a wedding without a partner. You’re put on the singles table, whilst everyone else mingles in couples. You listen to the vows and wonder why you haven’t found love like that. You think about your age and own experiences. Have i wasted time? Where did I go wrong? Yes you could dwell on these things and fall into your negative patterns and narratives. Or you can listen to the vows in a new mindset and think, wow love does exist and I can’t wait to experience something similar again. I’m grateful for the love and life I have lived. It doesn’t have to follow societies timeline or guideline. Be in the moment for the love you’re there to celebrate and focus on their joy! Let yourself be present and feel their joy. Of course I caught myself feeling into, why am I alone? Am I not good enough? But I’ve been doing work recently to turn around on those negative thoughts (quickly!). Of course I’m bloody good enough. Look at the love I had with my ex. Look at the love I have from my friends and family. It always comes back to gratitude and openness to believe in love (even if it hurt you). Being single at a wedding taught me that whilst I may be alone, there is love all around and I can take this time to love myself instead. Being there alone made me excited for the future and above all else, to trust in your own path. 🤍 Don’t let other peoples lives make you feel any less about yours. You’re doing your best, take control and create your happiness. Sometimes it’s as simple as a mindset shift. 🤍 Dress @wolfandbadger Styling @lovermanagement #single #singlegirls
