It’s been so hard for so many people lately. It almost feels silly promoting this at all, but I guess putting art into the universe is one of the few ways I can combat this uneasy feeling most of us share at the moment. “(Mama) Please Believe I’m Sorry” was born out of a particularly tough time in my life. I had just been through a bad breakup while living in Los Angeles and wrote a bunch of songs as a result. One night I showed up at @andyfreemanaf’s house and laid them all down. One mic, most of them in one take. I’ve since repurposed most of those songs for other things, but this one remained on the cutting room floor for many years, until now.
