A flock of shorebirds has landed at the Inn! These shorebird decoys are beautifully carved and lovingly painted by Vancouver Island artists Hash Kanjee and his wife Brenda Walman. Hash takes care of the carving and Brenda the painting - the perfect duo if we do say so ourselves. The birds pictured can all be spotted on Chesterman Beach or in the Tofino area and include sandpipers, wee peeps, yellow legs, oyster catchers, marbled godwits, dowitchers, and whimbrels. Keep your eyes out on your next visit to see how many you can spot along the shoreline and hidden amongst the rocks.
