National Mai Tai Day 🍹 The tale of the Mai Tai started back in 1944 when the famous tiki mixologist Victor Bergeron (Trader Vic) was serving his friends at a bar. He tried out a new cocktail creation which inspired the response “Mai Tai-Roa Aé, meaning ‘Out of this world, the best” in Tahitian and the name stuck ever since.
