Imagine someone hands you a bag of pink diamonds— 10 carats— and tells you “do whatever you want”... Last year that is exactly what David Johnson of @dcjltd did to me. Honestly— because I get deep in the process and don’t really focus on the specifics in general— It’s probably better for me because I am unencumbered by reality by choice😂. Which means I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Something modern and wearable that could be casual but also turn it up... that could be many things. How sad for precious objects that are only hauled out on “special occasions”! Oh to be the precious object that could be with you always. That was the inspiration. The piece is comprised of 3 components. A 30” Handmade Biker in half platinum and half rose gold. A modified version of our popular and “fiddly” cylinder charm of platinum and pink opal with the largest of the stones imbedded. And then the Lock itself— 10 carats of pink to mauvy purple stones of all different shapes and sizes imbedded into a platinum Droplock shape. So the cylinder can rest on the point and be fiddled with... so it can be doubled or worn long. Or combined with other pieces. The entire piece rests in a pink lambskin and suede custom box that could make you cry it’s so darn pretty....
