I remember when I first became a mother, it was such an exciting but also scary time. I felt like I was on this rollercoaster ride of emotions, and there were days when I was so exhausted and overwhelmed. What kept me going was the love that I had for my baby, and the love that I had for myself and how my mother must of felt this way and persevered with the five of us. I learned to stay positive like her and to surround myself with supportive people, and to give myself permission to feel whatever I was feeling. And you know what? It made all the difference. Through her own struggles and hardships, my mother taught me about the kindness, and compassion. She has taught me the importance of family, the value of honesty and integrity, and the beauty of simple pleasures in life.
