The summer I asked myself why could Anthony Bourdain do it, but I can’t? What I learned? I am in fact nowhere near as cool as Anthony ever was, or quite frankly, nor will I ever be, but this mindset led me to have so many new experiences that, yes, impact the way in which I cook. To every stranger and friend that shared a meal, a drink, a song, a dance or let me into their kitchen, thank you. It may have been a small thing to you, but it meant the world to someone who used to be so sure she’d be stuck and never get to explore the world.
