TBT Whimsy child I sculpted out of WED clay in one day on #ozthegreatandpowerful while working at #frontlinedesign This was one of about ten individual children to be designed. The idea was they would wear rotten pumpkins and gourds on their heads as masks and they would shrivel to create these inadvertent facial expressions. I only got to sculpt one mask before we got the call they were cutting the kids out of the script. This was the beginning of the slow decline of the whimsy characters that were never shot for the film and the sculpture was never molded so it dried in the heat and crumbled.
