Artist Highlight ✨ meet Kathi Hofer! @hathikoffer
Kathi Hofer is an Austrian artist who takes up in her work pre-existing, “used” materials and ideas, processes them thoughtfully, and then re-inscribes them in the production cycle from whence they came. Her artistic endeavors revolve around the procedures deployed in cultural and artistic production, focusing not least on the creative act itself.
Hofer's work is currently on view at MAK Center as a part of our centennial exhibition, "Schindler House: 100 Years in the Making," emphasizing acts of making, unmaking, and remaking that have constituted the house and its mythos over this century. The exhibition is curated by MAK Center Director Jia Yi Gu and architectural historians Gary Riichirō Fox and Sarah Hearne.
