I posted only two photos in 2020 and averaged less than 5 minutes per day on Instagram. This wasn’t really intentional; I think it was just a year for me to be present in other areas of my life. However, social media documentation or not, the memories of life continue being made. So I’ve waited for the benefit of reflection to recognize the moments of 2020 that were more durable than others, that I found extended past the immediate exuberance of the moment. These are the ones that I want the internet to remember. And friends, to the moments ahead that are more hopeful and we feel safer to join together again, I look forward to the hugs and the high fives and the awkward cheek kisses and crowding into spaces with you to celebrate just being alive together! Until then, mask up and stay safe out there. (1 of 2) 1. Skid Row Carnival of Love 2020 with the organizational dream team of Alana & Michelle. The carnival won’t be held in 2021, but the residents of Skid Row and the @wayfarerfoundation still need our help more than ever. Please donate to support. 2. The last pre-pandemic meeting of @thevbcla 2020 reading discussion now happening on Zoom! 3. The last circle up for @afterschoolwineclub - barolo and barbaresco! 4. Early days delivering meals for @frontline foods with @littleprincela and @endofxyz. Even with the advent of the vaccines our frontline workers still need our support. 5. Our first date was also our first Covid test 6. Newly adopted and now proudly co-parenting Maggie the Dog. She’s the best, but I’m also a bit partial ;) 7. Lazy Malibu weekends 8.
