After a significant deterioration the last few weeks, I’m relishing whatever moments I can get. Spending most of my time in bed can be really soul crushing, today I didn’t think I’d get up. Shortly after taking my pain killers my lovely neighbour knocked on my door to say she was going berry picking nearby and did I want to join. I said no straight away as I felt so unwell and then thought fuck it, if my pain relief kicks in enough for me to get out, I’ll go - and I did! I’ve been meaning to get to this small pocket of nature for ages as it’s pretty close by and I’m so glad I did. It’s beautiful and peaceful and you could hear all the insects buzzing and the lil ducks and birds (and the motorway lol 🙄). Whilst our berry haul wasn’t great due to the drought killing half the berries, it was still so so dreamy and such a spontaneous moment of respite that I’m so glad I got to experience.
