through rain, power outages and technical issues this gig managed to be one of the most special ever. despite the actual storm i was also braving a storm within in one of the most vulnerable emotional states i’ve ever played in. what i had intended to play didn’t feel right and i ended up playing my deepest personal cuts only. tried to cast spells and used vocals to manifest my own twisted feelings into a healing space. singing the word goodbye and hoping to believe it. i find so much beauty in the unlikely coincidence that so many of you connected so strongly to the music that has once more saved me from my own inner turbulence. the feedback you gave both immediately after and in the coming week sits overwhelmingly warm with me. it is also rare we experience togetherness like that, in struggle. rain so strong we couldn’t leave if we wanted. so we sit in circles and connect. thank you @emilydoddnoble6 so much for capturing this moment. and everyone else who sent recordings. and thank you Whole Festival for indulging me.
