@gyopo 4th Annual Chuseok Benefit was an enormous success! THANK YOU to our incredible patrons, host committee, sponsors, and the immense outpouring of support from each attendee who helped us meet our ambitious fundraising goal. GYOPO extends our gratitude to hosts Kathy and Anthony Choe for generously welcoming the GYOPO family and supporters into their home. Chuseok is a festive moment at the cusp of a vibrant, fruitful summer harvest and more reflective, autumnal season. GYOPO gathers on Chuseok annually to celebrate our accomplishments and take stock of what we’ve learned through our programs, deepening relationships, and intersecting communities. Our annual Chuseok benefit asserts the importance of our collective expression of joy; this ecstatic moment represents our bountiful harvest and creates an impression that lasts until we gather again. The growth that GYOPO is experiencing is wholly due to the nourishment we receive from our volunteers, program attendees, and donors, and the energy we derive from tending to the transformation and evolution of our diasporic Korean and AAPI community. We are energized and our commitment to organizing free public programming, institutional building, our new brick and mortar space (which will open to the public later this fall), has only multiplied.
