Say Hi to Howdy ☀️ Just 7 days ago, we welcomed our precious son Howard Douglas Snyder into the world. I love him. More than words can describe. Named after his grandfather Howard John Snyder, Jr. who captained a B-17 Flying Fortress in WW2, who had deep devotion to his faith, his family, and his country... Howard also means Heart-Brave, High Defender, Chief Guardian. Our Howard, our eldest son, will be a brave defender of his family, his friends, his community. The only person who loves him more than me is Allegra. But the only person who loves Allegra more than Howdy is me. The first major act of creation between Allegra and I was our wedding. The second is our little Howard. He is the manifestation our our love for each other. Our commitment, our trust, our laughter. I didn’t know my level of reverence and respect for her could deepen so greatly from where it already was. I am continuously humbled by her strength and courage. Every day, Howdy’s mother and I look forward to getting to know him better. His mannerisms, his preferences, his idiosyncrasies, and someday his humor. I understand so much more about my parents. I understand so much more about my Heavenly Father. What a Spark of Joy. We love you Howdy. And someday... if you want...I’d happily teach you how to play water polo. 🤓 #howdysny
