Yesterday I finished a 4000 sq ft mural for Bright Star Schools in Koreatown! It is by far the biggest mural I have ever done. Thank you to the staff and students at Rise Kohyang for trusting me with this beautification and to @treedom.us for bringing me on. For all my friends and family that came by to show support and to all the people in the community I met, always showing love and encouragement. Most people were shocked to see me operating this big ass machine and painting pretty much the entire school solo😂 I had planned for this project to take 2 weeks. It took me 7. Just me and my boom and 70 quarts of paint. Had never used a boom before this but I was forced to learn quickkk😂😂 And I conquered It. It broke down 3 times.. they replaced my diesel boom with a gas engine without telling me and I filled it UP w diesel. 🙃 Spilled full quarts of paint from 30ft up. Many lessons learned on this project but I swear through it all I was having the best time. I’m so blessed, happy & grateful to be doing what I love. I’m definitely coming out of this a more experienced and humbled boss lady artisssstt. I’m just really damn proud of myself. In a future post I’ll be expanding on the meaning and imagery of this mural But for now, onto the next!! Today I’m starting a mural at 8500 Sunset Blvd. Come through. 💘💘💘💘💘
