I’ve read this book every year ish since high school... maybe 20 times or so. I probably have five or six copies on different shelves in varying states of waterlogged wear and tear and disgestion. It is arguably one of my all-time favorite books. She (Anne) left for Captiva island, finding a worn down beach shanty, in the middle of raising a house full of kids...for multiple weeks. 🤯 In this new season of motherhood, it speaks to my heart all the more.
