There are many paths to the road of a professional artist, one of which is taking out a massive loan to pursue your dream. On a recent assignment, I got to photograph Angelenos Manuel López (@meaunl_lpoez) and Ever Velasquez (@ever.a.k.a.thegirlabouttown) for a story about art school and what it offers (or doesn’t), its burdens and barriers to entry.
