The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea has been out for 6 months! How time flies. I remember around this time pre-pandemic I was wallowing, thinking this book would never see the light of day, and now it's been out in the world long enough to celebrate an anniversary! And truly is out in the world--as of now, GIRL has sold to 18 countries, including South Korea!! 🥹🥹🇰🇷 Although it's a big anniversary for GIRL, I'm on two deadlines right now, which is keeping me very busy (and why I've been a bit MIA here). I reached a milestone on The Floating World today that I'm so proud and excited about. Can't wait to share more about this book soon!! Meanwhile, you can catch me at a few upcoming events. One is tomorrow with Nevada Humanities in celebration of the National Book Festival. It's a free virtual event, so please come tune in at 1pm PST (the link is in my bio). I'm excited to have an awesome convo with author Naseem Jamnia about our books, writing craft, and inspiration! I'll also be at THREE in-person events in September. First is in Reno for the Nevada Humanities Literary Crawl on the 10th. Then Chicago for DivFest on the 17th, & lastly, I'm celebrating Susan Lee's SEOULMATES for her launch in San Diego on the 20th! If you're local to any of these cities, I'd love see/meet you! I hope everyone is having a wonderful last days of summer. I'm sad it's ending, but I'm excited for the Fall!
