#OnThisDay we celebrate influential British graphic designer, Jock Kinneir. Best known for his work with graphic designer Margaret Calvert, Kinneir helped to design many of the airport, road, and transport signs we see today. Before the design-duo’s ground-breaking work, these signs followed a variety of styles. Together they implemented a signage system with standard colours and typography, easy to understand at a glance.
