✈️ Our Croatia itinerary in case you’re contemplating a trip there: Croatia is one of my all time favorite travel destinations-and I was thrilled for a Practical Optimism translation to recently come out there. Hearing from readers, and seeing their posts with the backdrop of gardens and beaches, brought back memories of this most stunning landscape. 🚘 We flew non-stop to Zagreb, spent 1.5 days there, rented a car, then drove to Plitvice Lakes National Park-a UNESCO World Heritage Site, spent the day there hiking, enjoying waterfalls; continued onto Split, stopping off for local cheese, farms, wineries ), spent a few nights in Split, then to the island of Hvar (reminded me of many other Mediterranean/Aegean/Adriatic islands I’ve seen and love), got in some scenic stops along the Makarska Riviera and then the best -a few nights within and later, outside/waterfront, the castle walls of Dubrovnik (and of course walking on top of it and getting lost within the cafes and outdoor performances). 12/10 experience:) Hope to be back. 🇭🇷 Is Croatia on your list, or have you been? 🏝️ I hear the island of Vis is also spectacular.
