Although we at IFAW spend much of our time rescuing animals that need rehabilitation, sometimes all an animal needs is help finding its herd.⁠ ⁠ About a month ago, IFAW’s Ranger Lenkaja Lekunase found this giraffe calf who had wandered away from her mum. Initially, this giraffe was in distress, but Lekunase managed to calm her and successfully guided her back to her mother. 🦒🤎 ⁠ ⁠ Despite the current drought ravaging the Amboseli area in Southern Kenya, our IFAW rangers continue to patrol the area to deter poachers and protect frail animals that have been orphaned or separated from their packs.
