TONIGHT this beautiful woman by my side introduces the world to Dr. Sam Griffith. And I cannot urge you enough to tune in. This photo was taken on one of the first days on set this fall when the incredible cast, writers, and directors came together to tell what is best described as a This is Us meets Succession story that takes place in the cardio-thoracic unit within the walls of Lakeshore Sentinel Hospital. All I can say is I’ve seen more than you’ve seen of what is to come on the premiere tonight and the intensity of the surgical environment, the fast-paced clip of the dialogue, the unexpectedly funny moments, the dialed set design, and sharp performance of this cast is not to be missed. And my babe, I could not be prouder of you. You’ve given Sam life. You’ve observed open heart surgeries, out-tied real medical professionals with your one-handed surgical knots, learned piano, sprinted through hospitals, gotten up at ungodly hours to go to work, and have brought your talent, empathy, and hard work to a character with a commitment that only is satisfied by excellence. And Sam is a masterpiece with all her talents and foibles. It’s been beautiful to observe you and support you as I stand by your side. Congratulations, my love.
