We are happy to confirm the signing of @robbeghys97 for the next three seasons, with a contract that runs until the end of 2025. The 25-year-old combines road cycling with track cycling, and recently won two medals at the UEC European Track Championships, one of which together with @fabiovdb. 🗣️ Robbe #Ghys: “The Belgian character and familiness of #AlpecinDeceuninck has been a major factor in my decision to join the team. That and of course the very professional way of working. I believe in this project, and I hope to grow into a better rider here. I am very happy that the team is open to me continuing to combine road and track cycling. Signing a three-year contract is nice and gives me a lot of confidence. In the coming years I hope to be able to develop in the team’s sprint lead-out. It’s terrific to be given the chance to prepare for the Olympics in 2024 too, as I will only be able to fully focus on road cycling after that.”
