(Español👇🏽) Simply imagine how different our world would be if we began making the things we need or want, instead of buying new ones. Can you see it? We would not only understand how long it takes to make a product, but also the materials and energy that go into it. Believe it or not, this is my first time designing a hat! I used upcycled materials and old tools we’ve had for years, and I found myself enjoying the entire process because I chose to let my mind wander without any self-inflicted judgment. I allowed my soul to be unapologetically free in order to being embracing the power of creativity. Why? Because to me, creativity = sustainability. Before buying a product, I ask myself if I can make it at home with things we already have. This is how I spend my free time. This is my active meditation. I can spend hours on a Sunday connecting with an energy I numbed for years, and making gifts for those I love. Happy conscious Holidays... without the massive consumption! PS: if you are going to use feathers, PLEASE use those you collected from the ground. Don’t buy feathers online, nor products with feathers, to avoid supporting a cruel industry that has been know to pluck them out of live birds. 🙏🏽 Instead, look around you when walking.
