Loc’ing my hair was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Of course it makes surfing everyday easier, but it seems like loc’ing kicked off a movement inside of me. As each day goes by I’m finding something new to love about myself, which is beautiful in itself. There was a long period of time when my self-esteem was sooooooooooooo low, dragging me down to the floor physically (I was always hunched over, eyes to the ground when I walked), emotionally, and energetically (there was so much mistreatment I allowed).
