As we are experiencing one of the most awkward season of the year for salons: Summer ☀️, this is your chance to kick slow season in the butt 🦵 and implement client retention strategies so your guests are more than happy with their service and keep your business thriving! Here are some of the things I have learned throughout my journey:
1) Personalized costumer service: Make your client feel special! Remember past conversations, keep notes of how much your services have improved her results, be firm on your policies but sometimes flexible with clients that are regular and have respected your business terms
2) Comunication is EVERYTHING!!: If you only welcome your client, sit her on the chair and only hand her the mirror at the end of the service that might be why they don’t come back. She just got an average service, and honey, no one wants to be BASIC! Take her visit to the next level by explaining the service beforehand and walk her through realistic results + answer any questions. Of course, there’re clients that don’t engage as much as others and that’s ok, but try to dig into what they want from you and listen to her expectations
3. Reward them with a loyalty program: Loyalty programs have been proven to increase a high client retention! Make sure to let your clients know (especially first time guests) that your salon has one. You can create your own loyalty card or integrate an app from your booking site
4. Look like a PRO by: Keeping a spotless workstation, having good presence and attitude, make it easy to get in touch with you, be organized & ask at the end of the service if they’re happy with it, SHOW THAT YOU CARE!
