What are you reading during these holidays?
Every December, the FT Books desk release one of the FT's most popular series: Books of the Year. As every edition, Books of 2022 draws together recommendations from FT writers and critics across a wide range of subjects and regions — from economics and politics to tech, poetry and fiction — and to suit all tastes. It also includes a contribution from our book-loving FT readers, who have also selected their personal favourite reads of the past year.
But what were the highlights?
Here are some titles our critics loved:
👉️ The Book of Goose by Yiyun Li
👉️ Lessons by Ian McEwan
👉️ The Passenger by Cormac McCarthy
👉️ Accidental Conflict by Stephen S. Roach
👉️ A Heart Full of Headstones by Ian Rankin
👉️ Redesigning Work by Lynda Gratton
👉️ Age Proof by Rose Anne Kenny
👉️ The Climate Book by Greta Thunberg
Head to the link in bio for the full list – and let us know your favourite books of the year, or what you thought of any of these, in the comments underneath this post 📚️
