Today is Ukrainian Independence Day 🇺🇦 To mark the day, we’re looking at a piece of contemporary Ukrainian design. This is the Gropius Low Chair Military Edition by @noomhome. A chair from peacetime, upholstered with a camouflage net from wartime, it’s a powerful reflection of how Ukrainian design has acquired new meanings and functions. Designed by Kateryna Sokolova @katerynasokolova in collaboration with Nataliya Bakulina and Antonina Latayko, this chair highlights how Ukrainian designers are responding to the reality of war.
