Kendrick Lamar and Joe Jonas have worn @karuresearch, designer Kartik Kumra’s clothing brand. It’s carried at 11 stores worldwide, including Mr Porter and Ssense. This year, it’s on track to hit upward of $900,000 in revenue, up from $300,000 a year ago. ⁠ ⁠ But first, Mr. Kumra had to pass his finals. ⁠ ⁠ “I’ve got two papers due next week and one exam,” said the 22-year-old Delhi native, who was days away from finishing a degree in economics at the University of Pennsylvania on the December afternoon that we spoke.
