I want to take my first solo trip but what if something goes wrong???
I’m Keem, female solo traveler of 63 countries SOLO, and my course, “Travel Like A Bawse” has helped over TEN thousand women start their solo travel Journey.
Here’s a few things you can do to be prepared for any emergency on your first solo trip.
1. Get the local currency from your bank a week before you leave. That way, you’re not putting yourself in a vulnerable location by standing at an ATM plus you avoid foreign transaction fees with your bank.
2. Bring two credit cards with you along with your debit card. Use the credit cards as your primary form of payment. That way, if identity theft occurs, it doesn’t affect your direct cash flow (that direct deposit every two weeks money).
3. Choose a ride sharing company such as Uber. This way, both you AND the driver’s activity are tracked in real time. PLUS, you won’t get lost in a foreign country if you’re getting door to door service everywhere.
4. Share your location with your friends & family via iPhone and what’s app location pin, so they can track your location in real time.
5. Send a typed copy of your itinerary to the U. S. Embassy, via the STEP program, to ensure the U.S. Embassy is aware of all of your intended whereabouts.
6. Bring a first aid kit with you. I have everything from cold medicine, to Zyrtec, to Charcoal Pills to Tea Tree Oil.
7. Don’t forget to pack the essentials. I always carry two power banks (in case power goes out), a door jammer for my hotel room door while I’m sleeping, and a voltage converter.
Today I’m hosting a free masterclass to show you how you can start your solo travel journey safely, with confidence, and without draining your bank account.
